Britain's biggest military project since the Second World War will cost in the region of £41bn.
The start of this project recently will see the already 2600 strong workforce increase to over 7000 when the project hits full swing in the mid 2020's.
It is anticipated that 85% of the supply chain for this project will be from British companies.
