Our certification documents are recognised worldwide by insurance and regulatory bodies, and give our customers an important guarantee of compliance for their own sales and marketing purposes.

The reports and documentation that we prepare address every aspect of our customers' requirements and provide a clear and detailed account of everything and everyone that we've inspected, analysed, tested and concluded.

Welding Procedure Certification

Our Independent Certification service comprises a complete package in respect of producing Welding Procedure Qualification Records / Procedure Qualification Records (WPQRs/PQRs). Our fully trained and qualified inspectors will attend your site and through a unique company-welder interaction method, collate all of the required data to produce the relevant certification. We then coordinate the required testing with our independent UKAS accredited laboratory, with results produced within a maximum of 3-5 days.

Our experience and knowledge ensure minimum input from our customers and minimum disruption to their operations. In an industry where lead times are ever decreasing, we guarantee to provide a service that will not disappoint, with our unique certification seal recognisable as a world-class guarantee of highest quality performance.

Welder Performance Qualification

Our Inspection Department can independently witness and verify welders, who follow detailed written instructions to produce test pieces (usually in the form of a Preliminary Welding Procedure Specification – WPS – or a Welding Procedure Specification – WPS). We then coordinate testing of these pieces through our independent UKAS-accredited laboratory to enable qualification or coding to a National, European or Internationally recognised standard.

We also offer a programme for managing the ongoing qualification/requalification of welders and for organising documentation of evidence that can be used to support certificate prolongation.

Weld Inspection

Through our Head Office UKAS accreditation, we hold a Department for Business Energy and Industrial Services (BEIS) appointment as a Recognised Third Party Organisation (RTPO).  This allows us to witness Welding Procedure and Welder Qualification tests for work to be used under the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) category.

Our comprehensive and independent third party inspection services operate Nationwide, across Europe and even further afield. All of the work that we perform is in accordance with National, European and Internationally Recognised Standards, including, but not limited to:

  • BS EN ISO 15614 (welding procedure range)
  • BS EN 287 (welder qualification)
  • BS EN ISO 9606 (welder qualification range)
  • ASME IX (weld procedure and welder performance)
  • BCAR A8-A10 (CAA aerospace testing)
  • BS 4872 welder competence (welder qualification range)

We can also inspect and issue certification to meet the requirements of specific companies or industry sectors, such as:

  • Rolls Royce
  • Westlands
  • DGS Shipping
  • NSSS (National Steel Structure Specification)
