Welding Procedure & Qualification Testing

Non-Destructive Testing
At Code A Weld, we are proud to say that we are one of the leading non-destructive testing companies in the UK. We have this title as we are able to provide extremely accurate damage assessment tests on welded appliances, without harming their structural integrity.

Radiography Inspection
Due to having years of experience in the area, we consider ourselves experts in radiography inspection. In order to get the most accurate results, we use our newly acquired X-ray facility which helps to detect welding issues in a clean and non-invasive manner.
As well as our inspections being of the highest quality, we also endeavour to complete our service in a quick and efficient time frame. We prioritise a speedy service so that if we identify a welding issue, we can set about rectifying it straight away.
Mechanical Testing
We at Code a Weld also provide mechanical testing services with all of our tests undertaken by a fully accredited laboratory. The main goal of mechanical testing is to check whether products are safe for use and we are pleased to say that we can provide this service to both metallic and non-metallic products.
We offer the full range of mechanical testing services, all of which meet the highest of standards. These services include tensile, fatigue and stress rapture testing.
CE Marking
Since 2014, the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) requires all fabricated structural steel to carry the CE mark. Failure to comply with this rule in the UK is considered a criminal offence and can result in a company suspension along with a potential fine or prison time.
At Code A Weld, we will ensure that you meet the standards required in order to achieve your CE mark. We provide a straightforward service where we help welders to become fully qualified, ensuring that they will not experience any discrepancies with UK law in the future.
CSCS Cards
Another essential requirement for welders working on construction sites is a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card. In order to obtain this card, welders need to pass a welder approval test, a health & safety assessment and a job knowledge test.
We at Code A Weld can help you achieve this as we have been approved to assess welders against CSCS requirements. This allows us to support the welding industry and closely monitor the next generation of welders.
Seminars
